About

About This Site

BINP (Notes for the Bioinformatics Pathway) is a personal learning journal documenting my transition from classical biology into computational biology and bioinformatics.

Everything here is written to be re-readable β€” notes I can return to weeks later and still understand. If you find something useful, even better.

The site is built with Quarto

About Me

Hi there πŸ‘‹

I have a background in evolutionary biology and plant biology, and I am currently learning the computational side of biology β€” building skills in bioinformatics, command line tools, and Python, one small step at a time.

In case I don’t see ya β€” good morning, good afternoon, and goodnight.

My current learning stack:

  • 🧬 Bioinformatics β€” sequence analysis, phylogenomics, public database mining
  • 🐍 Python β€” from first functions to working with biological data

Site Philosophy

Little by little, day by day. There is no shortcut β€” only consistent effort and good notes.
